Press Release - Teach For America Announces the Schools Contributing the Most Graduates to Its 2010 Teaching Corps

Congratulations to those who were accepted into this program. “Admission to the teacher corps this year was even more selective than in previous years, with a record 46,000 individuals applying to join and a 12 percent acceptance rate.” They particularly sought graduates who are Hispanic or black or “persons of color”. They need students who are good role models and even if you choose not to accept or they don’t choose you, it’s an opportunity to practice interviewing skills. Please consider applying for this opportunity next year.

Sam, I had previously read that article, so that’s why I was thinking of how selective it is. I didn’t realize Northwestern students ranked first place in number of selected students among its peers.
