<p>surfgirl, I think the number on the nomination form is only for the NFIB member to contact you if needed. They don't submit that actual form to SPA, they fill out a form online with your name and AIN.</p>

<p>Sent my essay and forms to nominator...now what? Do we get notified when and if they fill out the nomination forms? I don't want to keep following up with my nominator and drive him nuts.</p>

<p>They submit their stuff online and then give the applicant some kind of confirmation. There's not really a link (besides that one page with instructions), but that's what my nominator did, and it worked out fine.</p>
<p>I e-mailed them for some clarification, and you just need to make sure that your nominator actually nominated you. The instructions say to submit a nomination form, but that is from last year or something when they didn't have it online. So, once you know that you are nominated, fax everything over to SPA in the correct order (one-sided), then cross your fingers for about a month.</p>
<p>My nominator said that everyone she has nominated has won $1,000 in the past. I feel that we all have a good chance.</p>
<p>I have a question, when is our application status supposed to be updated? I know it says to wait at least two weeks before checking, but right now it says that I've only submitted my online application. I checked the other statuses that can show up and it says "semi-finalists in progress" and "semi-finalists completed" or something. Am I just being paranoid or something? lol because two weeks from when I faxed my materials would be the deadline date and I want to know if everything went through</p>

<p>I think they will be announcing winners in the next two weeks. On the SPA site, it says "Semi process complete".</p>
<p>"semi final process complete" only means that you have completed the process not them. itll prolly be longer than 2 weeks</p>

<p>According to an old thread on this site, after the semifinalist deadline of March 23rd, they received award letters on May 7th. So I'm guessing we won't hear until mid-May.</p>
