I was reading the Terms and Conditions on the Scholarship for National Merit Finalists (National Scholars) and I was just hoping to receive some clarification on a couple items.
All these quotes are from their website and I'm just trying to decipher them.

"Students offered multiple awards designated for regular tuition, cannot receive more than 100% of the cost of tuition from the combination of the awards. The regular tuition does not include differential tuition, fees, surcharges, room and board, books, or other expenses.
This is my main question: If a student receives outside scholarships, will those awards be deducted from the scholarship? If the student wished to go study abroad, could he/she allocate the outside scholarship money to the study abroad instead of have it deducted from the U of A scholarship money?

This award will be reduced by the amount of the Qualified Tuition Reduction amount (QTR, a benefit for faculty and staff), or by the amount of other tuition reduction programs.
If we are not affiliated with the University of Arizona, we would not qualify for these QTR programs anyways, so our tuition would not be reduced.

"The UA National Merit Scholarship award package includes the college-sponsored, corporate-sponsored, or National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC)-sponsored awards."
Does that mean any scholarship we receive from the NMSC will be deducted from our 15,000 from the university?
