<p>On the instructions sheet for NMSC, it stated that one cannot earn more than one award from National merit. But i really don't understand this. Let's say, if a person gets an award straight from NMSC. That means that he can't get another award from a college or corporation. But if the college/corp. really wants to give him an award for it, NMSC can't stop it. It's the college/corp's business if they want to give awards for National Merit. But then again on the rules it says clearly that one can only get ONE award altogether. Along the same lines, the rules say that you have to designate the college as your first choice. But even if you don't, it is still the college's own decision whether to give you award or not; NMSC can't stop them! I really don't understand how this NMSC stuff works!</p>
<p>Some college awards are not administered by NMSC. Those are unlimited. Of all the awards administered by NMSC, you WILL only receive one.</p>
