<p>We visited Wheaton College recently and learned that their dorms mix grades. A freshman will enter a dorm with another freshman roomate, but the dorm will not be an "all-freshman dorm." Does anyone have any opinion on how important it is to have an "all-freshman dorm?"</p>
<p>I went to Wheaton in the 70's and back then they didn't have freshman dorms, either. It might be because the college is small enough that there's not a need to separate them out. Not sure why, really, but I actually liked being around a mix of freshman and upperclassmen. (women at the time). They could fill me in on courses, where to go, professors, parties, whatever.</p>
