No decision yet?

I feel for you guys. I was anxious when my decision didn't come up until 11:45, I can just imagine what these days must be like. It will come sooner then you know it.

Mine just went up.

the tension is getting to me. bu is the second lowest on my list, and i havent heard from them. someone pls give me a bit of a sign abt my chances: sat 1 : 710 v/750 m sat 2:800 phy,790 che, 770 bio. ec: done a bit of everything, mainly debates, bball and was in school brass band. bit of soc service.got a good reco from the org i worked with. was head boy of my school. teacher recos are pretty good. no hook. academics were a bit above avg (my sat2s were in the subjs i took at school-will those scores make up for the class scores?). thts abt it. someone help!!

oh wait a sec - former head boy of our school got into bu (about 5 yrs ago) and did pretty well.hes now doing his ph.d at mit. does that qualify as a hook?

No, that's not really a "hook" but it might help a little bit.

But you're almost surely a lock to get in.

mine's not up either...ahh...i think my heart stopped for about 2 seconds when i read 2+2=5's post

this is just plain wrong...i really want to know what they're waiting for

Mine's not up either..

Definitely gonna be waiting until the 15th.

muchas gracias, will. my heart rates gone down by abt 50 bpm!! :) anyway, will just have to hope for the best...

To all those who haven't heard yet: just relax. It will come when you least expect it. Trust me.

Like . . . NOW! pause Oh. No? How about NOW!

Man, this never gets old.

No, it's more like NOW.

But to all those not yet receiving decisions: take comfort in the fact that you can always form an angry mob of torch wielding villagers and pillage the admissions office and usurp power. It's a very soothing way of thinking :).

brilliant idea! all those in favour of torching the adcom say "aye!". and all those in favour of torturing, impaling and burning the adcoms of all the ivys say "double aye!" and lets meet somewhere for a ritualistic cannibal bonfire (any guesses who'll be on the menu??)

swoons OH, veedd! How romantic. . .

Just . . . please do your love a favor and remove the spine and brain first. You don't want honey-pumpkin getting kuru, do you?

hmm......no prob....but do you think we would find a brain inside?

Yes. These people are not stupid. They're just professors that volunteered in order to avoid some even less pleasant responsibility.

Then again, the mere presence of a brain does nothing to establish intelligence post-mortem. We'll have to let them live so others can observe their folly.

If you don't find a brain inside, you can blame the UN Weapons Inspectors and Saddam Hussein and everyone else under the sun but your own damn self. Then go and ask your parents for $80 billion. They'll give it to you bc a majority of them likes you. Take that money, and put it in a blender. Drink it, then wait a half hour. P1ss it away. Voila.

whoaaa lol

and on that note...did anyone get their decision yet?

i think we're gettin a little crazy in here

I got my decision (accepted CAS).

And my last post was, well..funny in my opinion. But then again, I'm a liberal.

Liberal scum! said to match "rebel scum" from Star Wars

okie doke....i withdraw my case....feeling a lot more peaceful now.must be the yoga.*i have now realised that life is more than getting into a good univ.it is appreciating the beauty in the self, seeing the inherent harmony in nature, and merging with the universal soul that binds us all. (all those looking for excuses for not getting in, feel free to use this line)
