No major-related high school classes?

Hi everyone, I’m planning on applying to Cal Poly as an Architectural Engineering major. My biggest concern is that I haven’t really taken any architecture-related electives, even though my school offers them. I tried to this year (my senior year), but there was a scheduling conflict and I decided to take AP Computer Science out of interest. So my question is, as long as I have a good GPA and ACT score, and a rigorous history of math and science classes, will not having the architectural design elective under my belt hurt me in any way? I know Cal Poly looks at the substance of the classes you take and uses this to gauge how badly you want to pursue your particular major. Thanks for the help.

You won’t be penalized for not taking it. They look at rigor of core courses like math, lab sciences, foreign language and English.
