the umdnj programs (with tcnj, rutgers, stevens, etc) don't have a minimum score requirement. All they require is that you sit down and take the mcat but you can get whatever you want on it.

the programs for Toledo has a Dec 1st deadline, so looks like maybe too late? My son will be attending Toledo next year and has a declared major of Biology. He heard there is a different pre-med major, not the Bioengineering link above. Anybody know about that and have a link please?

Case Western, if I remember correctly, has a rather amusing requirement where the MCAT is not required, but if you take it there's minimum score.

OH MOM, Try StarMed program. My D. got interview for BS/MD and was told that she would be accepted, but she declined to go there. They accept 10 people to BS/MD and you have to be Biomedical Engineer. No MCAT. Maintain 3.5. StarMed is totally different program.

bluedevilmike, I know people who graduated from Ivy League with high GPAs, but could not get single interview applying to over 10 med. schools because of their low scores on MCAT. This test is worth worrying about. However, a lot of BS/MD programs that require MCAT, do not reguire high score. So, any BS/MD program (with or w/o MCAT) would be in most cases better than Ivy Leaque pre-med. When you are MD, nobody will care where you got your undergrad. anyway.

Trust me, it wasn't because of their MCAT score. It was because they didn't apply to enough places, or because they applied late, or because they didn't take essays seriously. (Seriously, 10 places is really not enough, especially if they're all reach schools. 15-20 is the normal number.)

If you're graduating from an Ivy with a high GPA, trust me: your MCAT score is not going to exclude you from medical school.
