When i was registering for my OCT SAT2s, i realized that there was no march date. So no more SATs in march? hmm...

Yeah, they seem to have put it in blocks now. Nov, Dec, Jan...April, May, June. Do you think that's to be easier for the students or easier for the Collegeboard?

I thought that the SAT I was given alone every April. (no SAT II's offered) The only reason there was a March testing date this year, I believe, was to allow the Collegboard more time to score the new tests. There was no April test this year and it took about a month for the March scores to be released.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that the March/April test date has historically been tied to high schools' spring break schedules, which are in turn tied to Easter Sunday. Seriously. College Board has to make sure that the test doesn't fall on a Saturday when most schools would be on spring break; otherwise they would have a hard time getting proctors (and students, maybe).

I think that the test date has much more often fallen in March. There's only an April date probably every 3rd or 4th year.

what? so instead of march, we can only register for the april one?

yes. every year there is EITHER a March test date OR an April test date. Never both.
