No reply from neither the general undergraduate admissions office nor my regional admissions officer

Hello all,

Approximately 6-7 weeks ago, I sent an e-mail to UAO briefly explaining my situation and asking about something that I couldn’t find any CERTAIN answer to. Question was if I could assign my old guidance counselor whom I spent 3 years with during high school. But this year, I’m changing my school and I don’t think it would be logical for my current guidance counselor to write the report, as she has literally no idea about me. If I assign my old guidance counselor, I also told them that she will provide my latest transcript. I couldn’t get any e-mail so I sent another one to my regional admissions officer nearly 3-4 weeks ago. And she didn’t reply either. I know we won’t get any response to questions that are already answered on website, but there was no information about this whatsoever. Should I be worried that they simply don’t care about me :stuck_out_tongue: or is this how long it takes usually?

Try calling the admissions office. You’ll get some sort of an answer quicker.

I don’t understand your question. I am wondering whether they understood your question. Calling admissions does seem like the better way to get an answer.

Stanford is still on summer break. The Admissions staff is no doubt also on Summer break.
Call the admissions office after the new school year begins.

Pick up the phone.
