<p>um...how bout if the question was like this:
"Dr. Harding introduced Melanie and I to the subject she was talking about"
according to a sentence that was similar to this one in the PR book, you're supposed to take out the Melanie part and say the sentence without it, which in this case would be "Dr. Harding introduced ME..." so would the final sentence of "Dr. Harding introduced Melanie and ME to the subject" be correct? thanks..</p>

<p>Yes. I serves as the subject of a sentence, me works as the object. In this case, "Melanie and me" would be the... well, I guess they'd grammatically be the direct objects, but they definitely are objects. So yes, it would be "Melanie and me."</p>
