No wonder Malpractice premiums are so high

Widow of Atlanta cop who died during three-way sex is awarded $3 million - U.S. News

Wow, just wow.

Of course if the cardiologist really did miss the high blood pressure and dismissed the guy’s complaints of chest pains and shortness of breath without doing any follow-up…then that’s just bad medicine regardless of how the man died.

I hate to judge anyone based on a newspaper articles, seeing the information presented on small town cases when I knew the real stories proved to me that they compact things for space and skew context.

That plus listening to people minimize the seriousness of their health conditions everyday and be offended when you suggest something like an ICD implant is serious or that a diabetic who is blind with no feet is not well controlled (not exaggerations!) makes me more on the doctor’s side! So many patients do not take this stuff seriously and are non-compliant.
