They might not have actually mailed them yet, or they may have been mailed later and no one has received them yet. I’m pretty sure people on CC would post if they were accepted. And is it true that you’re guaranteed EHP if you have above a 1500 CR+M score?

My daughter’s friend received a letter of acceptance from EHP this week. He also received a $2000/yr scholarship.

I have heard of several other people on CC getting a letter from EHP. So far they all seem to be acceptances. I’m afraid the ones who haven’t been notified yet (like me) are going to be receiving rejection letters soon. Umm, I’m not sure about having a 1500 CR+M score being an automatic acceptance; I have that (and a good math-focused courseload, decent extracurricular, and the plus of being female) but haven’t gotten anything.

Do you know your daughter’s friend’s stats by any chances?

xcloudy–Daughter’s friend is ranked 8/415 (in-state) and had a very high math/verbal score, but she doesn’t know the actual number.

I see. Thank you! Congratulations to him! My rank’s roughly the same, but he may have had spectacular EC/scores - I’ll try being patient till I get notification. :P

Just offering my input;

I got into EHP a couple of days ago, got the notification via snail mail.

I got 10K/year for 4 years, contingent upon me maintaining >3.5 GPA.

I can post my stats if y’all want.

Sadly I got a reply from EHP saying if you haven’t gotten a letter by now and you’re in-state, you were not accepted. :(

^can anyone confirm this? :/

I did call today – my son is out-of-state – and I was told that the out-of-state Honors letters would hopefully go out at the end of this week, but the nice lady did confirm that the in-state letters were all sent out already (I didn’t ask the exact date, but I suspect they were sent out sometime around the 9th as originally reported).

Hope that helps.

Do feel free to email them! I emailed about a week and half ago and I recieved my reply today. I think they’ll take emails quicker now that they’re done with the Honors decision-making. Exact email:

"Hello,

If you are an in-state student you would have received your letter by now if you were going to be invited to join the honors program. Im sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Warmest Regards,"

Super bummed- more for the potential scholarship, obviously. So 1500 CR+M = automatic acceptance: myth busted. I didn’t have terrible EC, but they weren’t great so I do think that was my downfall. Makes my decision to attend or not a lot harder since I’m waiting on other colleges and have a local university that is willing to give me a full ride. April 1 can’t get here fast enough. :P

Congrats to everyone who got in!! I’m super intimidated by y’all, especially if I do attend next year. ;)

I received my acceptance letter to the engineering honors program last week…and a $4000 first year scholarship!

Does anyone know what the odds are of picking up more after the first year? since it would certainly help with the decision if I knew there was a realistic possibility of getting another one after my first year one…
