Seeing that SAT scores come out tomorrow. It brings up a question i have:
OMFG how do i get them to see my score between now and whenever they make their decision on me? Anyone have any suggestions.

Personally, my Nov SAT score is kind of important for me.

I can just imagine the admissions secretary receiving her 1000th call of a new SAT score to add onto an app.

They will get them in time. (Don't ask me how they manage to make 1000 decisions in two weeks but they do...)

Don't bother them with ur scores, and maybe the same which happened to me will happen to you:

I called (because items were missing) and got redirected to my regional AO and she told me: "well actually I have your file right in front of me"

Believe me: This makes you so ****in nervous and your heart beats 180 times per minute minimum...

"I'm sure this never happened to the other fella" (for those who know James Bond)

Didn't screw it but probably missed the opportunity to make a big point... Guess this was the first time in my life when I actually stopped thinking. :D

The moral:

Don't call (you could write an email) or just let things happen...

Edit: Actually, my heart stopped beating at first ;)

david alex: do you know the name of the admissions officer?

also, from what i understand the nov sat scored dont mean that much. The adcoms already have a decent idea of whether u r/r not a strong candidate and therefore use the nov scores accordingly.

but that could be bad for celts, cuz he said they are important to his candidacy. meaning his older scores were very low, and that might make adcom reps deem him too weak to go on in the admissions process

basically yeh, u have to remember that the adcoms have a deadline, and the fact that they were working over thanksgiving shows the urgency in the process. hence, it seems unlikely that they r going to wait for an applicants new scores when he/she already seems to be a medium-weak candidate. i would imagine that for medium-high applicants, they would assess them again, and for high/recruits/legacies they dont bother looking at them.

there's a post by hbarns, who was a former adcom, who says that he/she can verify people were reading apps over the weekend. i think they got a couple days off but still had to read over weekend.

btw, does anyone know in what order the regional adcoms read apps? As in legacies first then athlets etc, or is it just random?
