Non Business Majors taking UGBA Courses

I heard all UGBA courses are open to non-business majors but that they are waitlisted until all the business majors get enrolled. Then, iF a non-business wants to enroll in a UGBA course, should they sign up for the class during Phase I or Phase II? Is it worth signing up for the course in Phase I?

don’t quote me on this, but if the waitlists are automatic, then the earlier you sign up, the better. right?

The waitlists for UGBA are not technically automatic. They act as if they were automatic, but are actually manual because they will not enroll you even if you are on the top of the waitlist if you do not have the class standing or prerequisites necessary to take the class (except for UGBA 101A/B, which don’t pay attention to the prerequisite).

Whether or not to waitlist for a UGBA course during Phase I or II depends on which particular one you want to get into. If it is UGBA 103, that needs to be Phase I and you still might not get in. However, you definitely can get into UGBA 101A and 102A even if you waitlist during Phase II, if enrollment was like during Fall 07.
