non-filers document for ED applicant

I submitted my ED application to CMU, submitted all the documents before Oct 31st, but could not submit the students non-tax filers statement. I am a US citizen studying overseas without any income. Does not submitting non-tax filers statement, invalidate my ED application ?

worried applicant, please help.

My DS is in the same boat. As a matter of fact, he’ll be submitting it today. Being that the IDOC site was so backed up and had a message stating they had informed all colleges/universities there would be a delay, I believe you both should be fine. you could give the admissions office a call to be sure.

I should add that you should print and sign the form stating that you did not file and upload it to IDOC as soon as possible to be safe.

It doesn’t invalidate your app, but it may delay your financial aid award letter if you get accepted

Thank you @itsreallyme and @cmudreamer. That response helps.

I called CMU admissions, but the person on the phone did not help much, except for saying we did not start downloading the documents. It seems they will start sown loading all FINAID docs starting next week.
