Non-traditional transfer student wins University Medal

Top graduating senior a rags-to-academic-riches story

I saw this… Isn’t this just awesome? Good for him!

really great article, and fascinating life story.

This is an even better story than that of the transfer student who won it last year.

i was there for his speech

It’s articles like these that make feel guilty (and a little jealous) that I am not the student I want to be.

lol I know what you mean knitknots. But I’m sure he had gone through a lot to really want to make a change in his life. That doesn’t come from nowhere. I guess we have to find motivation like he did…moral of the story.

The final pick of the University Medalist (from the finalists) is done by the administration. It’s no surprise they’ve picked the “crunchiest/social justice” type the last few years. Left leaning as always.

This kid (man, rather) is pretty impressive but he’s taken an awful long time to get where he is.
