noncompetitive positions

I am looking for something that isn't very competitive.
What positions are relatively easy to get a internship for.
like front and middle office only.

All front office positions are going to be competitive. In fact, in this market all quality positions are going to be competitive. Although there are different levels of competitiveness, all solid positions, as I just said, are going to be competitive - if you don’t think you can deal with that, then you will probably have a lot of difficulty in the position anyway.

Are you an outlier at Stern or do most of the students there ask such unbecoming questions?

In my experience, a lot of Stern students actually fall to the other side of the spectrum - almost too interested in the most demanding and competitive position. Maybe I’m wrong, but this person definitely seems to be the exception to the rule.

wow people here are so negative
you don’t respond to the question you just bash the person
let me rephrase the question

what are the easiest internships to get into thats worthwhile

You ask that question to a CC forum targeting the most competitive business people in the world.

Around here if it’s not competitive then it’s not worthwhile. If you’re looking for easy try a lemonade stand.;)

Front office jobs are all competitive.

Go teach English in middle school if you don’t want to compete.

Apply for the Rhodes Scholar, I heard those are pretty easy to get.
