nordstrom bp fashion board?

i know this isn't a summer program (not sure which thread it belongs in) but does anyone know how competitive the nordstrom bp fashion board is to get onto? i've never heard of it until today and it sounds really cool! there's an application and you do need a transcript, 2 recs, essay & a project so i was wondering if this is something that's impressive to get into. you apply as a junior in hs, deadline is april something and you do it during your senior year

thank youu!

You probably wouldn’t want to do something like it unless you’re really interested in having a career in fashion or doing something in the future involving fashion. To me at least, the high school students united for a cause=fashion thing seems a little pretentious when there are so many important problems in the world right now. I didn’t mean to sound rude if I did but I just wanted to give my opinion.

bump. I got in it and I was wondering how you guys think colleges would look at this? just curious (sorry if i sound like one of those people who just joins things just for “colleges”- i joined it because i like fashion but i’m genuinely curious about this)

ahh does anyone know?

Hi! I am currently a freshman, and I applied for the BP Fashion Board and was accepted. The process was really easy, and I was told by my interviewer that they accept everybody that they like, so if 100 people applied and they loved each person, there would be 100 people on the board. I probably had a little extra going for me, as I’ve run a fashion blog, [The Smart Stylista | intelligent insight in to all things fashion](http://www.alexandrapink.com/), for nearly four years.

GOOD LUCK :)

This will be my third year in Fashion Board. I really like it. I’m not that interested in going into fashion as a career (about 1/2 are 1/2 aren’t) I just really enjoy it. We get to learn about new trends, do fashion shows, and sometimes get free clothes! Also we can work in BP occasionally when other employees have to be 18 and older. :)

Maybe it was my specific store, but I didn’t have that wonderful of an experience. It was cliquey, and whoever applied got in. Not competitive at all, really. However, it may help you land a summer job at Nordstrom or something.
