Northeast US LAC List for student with SAT M/V/W about 1600-1700

Mass. college of liberal arts

P3T -- Thanks for the compliment...although this request is for the child of a non-computer savvy friend. I'm a little less "chill" about my own kids!

Ithaca would probably be OK because of the other schools in the area, and it's in an actual community (versus some of the SUNY colleges...which really are in the middle of no where!). Went to the website, and it seems like it might be a good match.

You are not looking for financial aid! Going early decision is your trump card. There are great schools out there with happy students like St. Lawrence, Hobart-WS, Dickinson, etc., but going early is key.

Ithaca could be a good option, if you like the cold weather. Juniata, and Susquehanna (maybe Lycoming-not sure) are in the middle of nowhere.

Might also check out Monmouth University in West Long Branch, NJ. Housing could be an issue, but since he has a car, they seem to have plenty of campus housing options.
