Northeastern/Boston University 'community'?

These are two of my top choices, but i have heard from many people and threads on here that neither school really has a sense of community. I love boston and I'm not really worried about making friends because I've always been a social person, but I do want to attend a school that feels connected, if that makes sense?

Is it just the anti-socials who don't bother getting out there and finding a friend group that are putting these thoughts in my head? or should I go ahead and start focusing on other schools?

i know quite a few people go to NU/BU…speak up!

Boston U is very connected I visited there and applied ED. I’ve also taken a program up at BU and the college students have a lot of input on what goes on at the school. The dean, directors, and staff at BU care very much about what their students want and try their best to make the environment a very positive and upbeat one. You’d be very happy at BU, northeastern, however, I do not know much about. I applied there as well and plan on visiting if I get accepted. Did you apply yet?

My daughter is a senior at BU and loves the school. There is community if you want to find it. Her first year she had so many choices of outside activities, she had to decide what not to do since her first goal was to study and practice (music major). Many people also think there is no campus but that is not really true either. My son is now considering going to BU, depending on scholarship since the school is very expensive. On nights when there is a soccer, hockey or basketball game, campus is really hopping. I wish I could go there myself. I have not heard of anything dangerous happening but remember it is a city school.
