Northeastern RD 2022

My daughter was accepted after EA deferral.

From Louisiana
International Business - France
33 ACT
4.0 UW / 5.47 W GPA
4 APs (that’s all her school offers) , rest honors
Varsity Tennis, State Youth Legislative Council,NHS President, Inventor - patent pending
Valedictorian

Not her 1st choice

Rejected. 2 rejections and 1 waitlisted in 5 days. How excited.
SAT 1420, SAT 2 Math 770, Chemistry 740. 3.9 WGPA, UW GPA is low (I guess that is probably why), only 3.5.
OK really should lower my expectations. Hmmmm…
Okey I actually visited and would be very much like to attend. Really disappointed.

@AceAttorney21 The Forbes ranking uses the 4 years graduation metric. That sinks Northeastern in their ranking as most students follow the 5 year option.

I am! Just heard back and I am on the West Coast.

Accepted into engineering. 800math/690verbal 800 math 2/ 690 physics. 4.17/4.50 gpa. Lots of ec and leadership positions. $40k scholarship Really psyched. Congrats to all who got good news - and for those who didn’t get the decision they want - you are going to shine wherever you end up. Don’t let this one get you down.

Accepted!

Major: Health Science in the Bouvé College of Health Sciences

Will post full stats in other thread, this is the general information:
3.7 UW GPA
32 ACT
7 APs (including senior year)
11 Honors

Did not think I was gonna get accepted after reading how many qualified individuals were rejected or waitlisted. Extremely grateful, Northeastern was definitely one of my top schools!

I’m not sure how I feel about the N.U.in program. I didn’t apply for it, but it seems interesting. Can anyone give me any more insight into what it entails?

Not sure how I got accepted as this was my stretch college. Wrote a good letter of continued interest and kept A grade average in mid year stats may have helped.

@JaqueBear I understand exactly how you feel…I just feel bad for my friends who have to deal with me crying

DD accepted for NUIn after deferral. 3.9 uw/4.1 w gpa, 1460 SAT, varsity athlete/captain, artist w/ strong portfolio, other good ECs.

I was accepted to N.U. immerse program with no scholarship.
I am very confused because I want to go to NU, but it is too expensive for me to pay $40,000 for the immerse program.

@pumpkinpi314
There are great videos on YouTube if you search NUin Italy, NUin China, NUin Ireland, etc. They will help a ton! The students made them. You need to find out which countries offer your major. That info is on the Northeastern website and also there is information in the portal. You are guaranteed a spot in your major, but locations do fill up, so pick early if you are set on one city. There are also threads on CC about it. I’ve heard such amazing things about the program!

@mmstanfordbound How did you see the Honors Program notice? And how much was your scholarship?
