Admitted to NU IN after being deferred EA to College of Sciences for Biology and Mathematics. SAT 1530, unweighted GPA 3.49, weighted GPA 4.26. if I can do it, you can do it too ok.
I am so geeked bc I sent in my 570 Math 2 SAT subject test and they still accepted me for mathematics.
Rejected for Linguistics/Psych Major (RD)
3.83 unweighted GPA
SAT in high 1400’s
Essay: P serious, & perhaps not unique but scream preparedness and sheds some light on a bad experience I had
ECs: 5 different EC’s, all non-academic, not super focused on 1 area, a few leadership positions, mostly done over long periods of time
Vibe of my app: Hey I had some hard stuff in my cushy corner of the world. I’m ready to kick butt now.
Notes: I had a noticeable downward trend (with higher difficulty classes) and I DID have a C+… also I did NOT appeal to how much I wanted to go to Northeastern
I luckily was accepted to a wonderful college in my home state and want to say, trite as it may sound, that you’ll find your perfect place! (For future applicants: I say to never get too hung up on any one college, and to always make lemonade!)
I just got accepted to their engineering and was awarded a 22,000 scholarship. I applied to the school because my mom told me to and I never thought about it. Is it a good school and what ranking is to be believed Forbes or U.S. News. I am super excited but I want to know my applicant strength. I had a 4.0UW and 4.32W with almost half my classes taken at a local community college. I am 16 and got a 34 on the ACT, but I have no really outstanding achievements or ECs.

denied. native american female, 30 ACT. 4.0 UW, 4.12 W GPA. lots of ECs and leadership positions, just like everyone else. thought being native american and that my unique story/everything i did would get an acceptance. but it’s okay. we all have to remember that things happen for a reason. this just wasn’t the school we were meant to go to
What is the acceptance rate this year? or last year?
***i meant 4.3 W on my last post oops

Test scores aren’t everything!
Many students apply for the NUin program, others are viewed as a good fit and offered spots. Spots open up 2nd semester in Boston for them since Northeastern is a Co-op school and there are always students away on internships or abroad second semester.
D waitlisted CAMD Game Design. 32 ACT, 4.1W GPA
It was the ONE school that I didn’t know a lot about I promise! I knew my other schools and made sure I wouldn’t steal seats from people needlessly. I will visit and I am excited about the school. I just want to know if it is tough to get into and what people think about the school.
