@TomSrOfBoston Why wouldn’t they include NUin or ContiNUe in their acceptance rates? That is very misleading.
@apdns19 They are both alternative freshman entry programs. The acceptance rates at all colleges are computed for regular fall entry students.
NUin question: When do they open the various sites for enrollment? Wondering if DD could get shut out of the placement she would prefer (Australia) if she waits until doing admitted-student visits to decide.
admitted to nuin. to be honest i was expecting to get into the fall so at first i was disappointed but after seeing how competitive it was this year (so many smart kids from my school just didn’t get in) i am really happy with the decision.
act: 34
gpa: 4.1 weighted, 3.85 unweighted
i was in love with my essay but im obviously biased lol
lots of aps and strong extracurriculars
how do you know?
did anyone get an email before they checked their portal?
did anyone get an email before they checked their portal?
@magscribe you can get shut out. Some of the popular sites fill up fast FYI
I remember my son enrolling in his site pretty soon after he accepted the offer and paid his enrollment fee. Maybe even the same day.
@penguinbear my daughter’s e-mail came about a half hour AFTER her decision was in the portal
Our son was waitlisted. He said the letter he received said there were 2,800 admitted out of 65,000 applications? Can this be true?
@boerboer Seems like they don’t count the students accepted into N.U.in or ContiNUe as students, so the number is much much higher than that.

I got accepted yesterday into the NU. in program. I don’t remember applying for it, but it works. Does anyone know anything about this program or what it is like?
@seakenney18 I did NUin and absolutely loved it (I went to Greece). It was a great way to study abroad and travel around Europe for a couple months, while also meeting so many/living with other Northeastern students, before going back to Boston for classes. It was really fun, and if you’re interested, definitely look at some of the NUin videos on YouTube to get an idea of what you do/what it was like. But I highly recommend it if you love traveling/exploring new places
