Northeastern U, Vanderbilt U, NYU, Lehigh U, UPenn, Bucknell U

Hello! I was wondering what my chances are of getting into these schools. I have a 3.81 GPA (weighted out of 4.0) and a 32 ACT score, and a 33 superscore. I’ve also received mail from most of these schools. I don’t know if that means anything though. I’ve also done plenty of activities during the past three years of high school.

It’s just routine marketing, it means nothing.

I can’t chance you, but encourage you to build a balanced college list of a couple of reaches, 4-6 matches, and 1-2 affordable safeties. Determine what bucket each school falls into by searching on Naviance or CollegeBoard and by looking at each school’s common data set (CDS) and class of 2023 profiles.

Demonstrate interest at schools where that is a must (C7 on CDS)…Lehigh and Northeastern for sure, maybe others on your list too.

Lastly, complete each school’s Net Price Calculator (NPC) to see if it is likely to be affordable. Good luck.

So what do you think my chances are?

Mail and email are marketing only. Means absolutely nothing.

Look up the common data sets for these schools to see where your scores and GPA lined up. It will also give you the acceptance rates. If your school uses Naviance, talk to your GC to see where people from your school have been accepted.

If you need financial aid, run the NPC to make sure these schools are affordable. NYU and Lehigh aren’t known for good aid.

No one can tell you your chances with so little information - we don’t know your course rigor, SAT II subject tests, AP scores, class rank, ECs, etc… And even with all of that, chance me threads are pointless unless you are totally over or under shooting.
