*Northeastern University Official RD 2018 Thread*

i have a 3.85 weighted gap and 1190 sat with lots of EC and 2 letters of recommendation. will i get in?

does anyone know when new york region finds out?

For those that post decisions, please indicate 1.geographic location 2. whether EA deferred or not 3. any scholarship info

@rtv2014 Massachusetts

Flat out rejected from Rhode Island. They can go screw themselves.
GPA: 3.8/4 UW 4.57/5 W
ACT: 27
Lots of ECs

Oh and I was deferred from EA, which makes me even more angry

@pchoulas 1150 SAT? WAT?

@emanonr i think they are talking about 2 part

@suspense22 my friend from china just got in, so i guess its very random…

Are people seeing financial aid info? I saw the scholarship, but the financial aid tab says we haven’t sent the CSS profile yet and I checked College Board and we definitely sent it to NU. Just not updated yet?

@kbrand even for 2 parts 1150 is pretty bad…
he meant 2150 or 2250 maybe?

@emanonR

pchoulas is asking if they will get in, not stating they did.

@pchoulas

For the same reason as emanonR’s reaction, I sadly doubt you will get in. Even assuming that is a 1600, the average SAT for the 2013 class was a 1390, and they put decently significant weight on test scores. While test scores are a significant consideration, low scores have gotten in during EA if you have some other distinguishing factor they decide they like a lot. Best of luck!

@emanonr yeah maybe who knows haha

@emanonR yeah, 2 part is 1190. i probably should have taken the act. but my GPA the past two years has been a 4.2 with only honors and AP, so i think that might help

i feel like all states on the east coast besides NY are finding out :(

@rtv2014 i knowwww im dying over here

@kbrand same here…
this is soooo long of a wait

Waitlisted RI

3.71 gpa
1980 SAT
5 APs
Lots of ECs
Double Legacy, you can probably guess my parent’s reaction.

Accepted! – from MA

SAT 2040
Unweighted GPA 3.7, Weighted GPA 4.3
2 APs, NHS, lots of ECs

If there is scholarship money, does anyone know if it comes later or will it be in the admissions letter posted on the site?

Anyone (besides the twitter post earlier) hear from CA?
