Northeastern University Program for Undeclared Students?

I was recently accepted to Northeastern (yay!) into the program for undeclared students. I was wondering what this program would be like and how easy it would be for me to transition into a major later. It seems like many people at Northeastern are so sure of what they’re doing and what they want to major in and I want to be sure that I won’t fall behind just because I didn’t initially declare a major.

The program is excellent - my daughter entered undeclared and is graduating in 4 years with 2 co-ops a double major and a minor - so you will not fall behind. They help you decide what to do and provide advising to get you classes that give you direction - the link below outlines the program. You can stay undeclared for up to 2 years and even co-op as undeclared.

Northeastern makes it really easy to join a major, change majors, and take classes in different colleges within the University. Especially if you know you want to go in some general direction (eg, science) there will generally be a lot of overlap in courses at the beginning so you don’t fall behind. Your advisors will try to help create a schedule that will keep you on track for different options that might interest you. And if you do fall a little behind, the half semesters in the summer can help get you caught up without having to delay graduation.
