Hello. My name is Gabe. I am currently a HS Freshman. My GPA for the year has come out to 3.8714 unweighted and 4.3 weighted (out of 5 with an A being 4.0 and adding 0.5 for honors and +1.0 for AP). I was just wondering if I keep this up for my entire HS career, would I have a chance of getting into Northwestern?
I would recommend against publishing your name. That’s for your own safety and security. As far as your stats go, your GPA is just a bit on the low side, but there’s plenty of time to bring it up a bit if you can score strong on your SAT. That being said, don’t spend time stressing over getting into a school like this. They’re admissions rate is around 9-10%, which means there’s going to be far more highly qualified applicants than there are slots to fill. It’s more a lottery than a competition. My advice, don’t stress, and go do teenager stuff…without blowing anything up!
