Northwestern Demonstrated Interest?

Does Northwestern track demonstrate interest? If I visit them in January, will they count that towards demonstrated interest? How can I show demonstrated interest and how important is demonstrated interest to NW? Should I not even apply if I don’t show demonstrated interest because it’s impossible to get in otherwise>

Demonstrated interest is shown by applying ED to Northwestern. Also, use specifics in your application essays.

When my son went to the engineering tour they had everyone sign in via iPad… So yes they track interest. They are a known school for this. Visit if you can. Email the regional person for your school. Apply early. Do the interview if your given one. So kids get in that do nothing then apply… Sure.

yes. also anecdotally more people are visiting than ever so at this point not demonstrating interest could actually be detrimental

@Knowsstuff - I’ve looked at the website, but don’t see any info about regional admissions officers; have you seen this somewhere for NU?

@“Idaho Father” Google is your friend.

When I was filling info for them on the Common Application, they ask if you have visited.

@Knowsstuff: nicely done; thanks! Apparently regular Google works better than the customized Google on the NU site!
