Northwestern JD/MBA

I would like to practice corporate law in the future.

What are my chances of getting into the Northwestern 3 yr JD/MBA program?

I go to a Top 40 university, will graduate with a 3.7 GPA with majors in Accounting and Finance from the honors program, and have a projected LSAT score of 165-175 (based on my SAT score)

I plan on working 4-5 years at one of the supermajor energy companies as a financial analyst in (Joint venture, treasury, controller,operations-gas) business units before I apply and should have plenty of opportunities to accrue leadership experience.

I like the idea of a 3 year program as opposed to a 4 year program because I don't want to have one more year of opportunity cost go by wasted.

The LSAT range you give is very large. Assuming you hit the middle of the range (170) your chances for Northwestern's law school are about 55% (just based off of the numbers). Your work experience would be valued by Northwestern, and would give you a leg up. If you want to practice corporate law you can do so without getting an MBA. You could also wait to get your MBA after you practice law for a few years.

I think the main point is that the OP could get a JD and an MBA in three years.
