Northwestern or Wash U?

I was accepted into McCormick at Northwestern and Washington U in St. Louis for engineering. It seems that McCormick is a more highly reputed engineering school, but I wonder about the schools in general, how different are the two schools? I will be visiting soon regardless, but Im looking for any and all input, thanks.

I don't know anything about Wash U, but you are right that Northwestern has a better academic reputation. The location of NW is excellent (right on the water in an upscale Chicago suburb) and the campus looked very good from what I saw.

I liked the Wash U campus better, but both schools were in my top three. The kids at Wash U seemed to be a little less nerdy, but that may just be me. Engineering wise though, you are right, NU has a slightly better reputation.

Northwestern has the better national reputation since its been so good for alot longer. Wash U has just recently become a good school. If you want to work in chicago or the northeast you'll be better off here. We have alot better sports and are Division I in the Big Ten so the visible student body isn't as dorky. Campus life is alot better since there's more to do being near chicago, and I've heard the social life is much better here as well, one of my friend's little brothers goes to Wash U and he hates it.
