Some of their buildings on the inside are very cool plus you can walk to Sox Games… Lol.
I am taking a hunch here that maybe you went to a selective enrollment high school in Chicago. IIT does give multiple great grants for such kids but NW also and UChicago. Chicago is a pretty cool city to work in and no question besides local companies (we have plenty) many students do get jobs at Microsoft, Amazon and the rest of the faangs from IIT… But there are just so many other cool companies out there…it’s also what you do on campus and how you separate yourself. If you already have friends at both schools with a positive attitude then that is good. Don’t assume IIT is easier either. Any school worth it’s weight your gonna have to work at it… Good Luck and report back in the spring or whenever to let us know how your doing.
