Northwestern Vs UCLA

need help deciding..

which one?

ucla = electrical engineering
northwestern = electrical engineering law honors.

thanks in advance

hmm..do you have money?

sure do......

why wouldnt you go to NW if you have the money? unless of course you are from chicago or something

because the undergraduate electrical engineering isnt very good..

that's true. UCLA's EE is excellent. And if you are from Cali, I think you should go with UCLA because of the 20k price difference (even if you do have the money for NU).

The price is the thing that you should be considering. Northwestern is about $45k a year while UCLA is $20k a year. If you are from California, UCLA would probably be a better deal. If you don't live in California, then you'll probably be paying about the same price for either school.

um going through the same dilemma, except I'm OOS ... so i live in Wisconsin. I don't think i can deal with the weather in evanston.

NU's electrical is the only engineering dept that isn't ranked in top-20 (I think it's like 28th); all others are. Are you sure you won't like any other type of engineering? ;)

Why would you want to go through the hell of EE (considered tied with chemE as the toughest major) if you are going to become a lawyer anyway? :)

It's a tough decision because you are pretty much given a spot for NU's law school which isn't easy to get into. I think the average GPA to get into NU law school is like 3.6 and it's an excellent law school with excellent bar passing rate and employment rate.

from Wisconsin and can't deal with weather in Evanston?

I promise, it's better.
