Awesome.

When you do your application, organize your EC's in order of what's most important to you. We have a thriving Model UN club here (two, actually) so that will certainly pique some interest. Also make sure that you put a lot of time and thought into your essays-- they don't have to be as weird as the prompts are by any means, but they should certainly reflect who you are and what you know about yourself up to this point.

Other Chicago-like schools include Bryn Mawr, Oberlin, Barnard (you already have it), Bard, Smith, Carleton, and Macalester, all of which may have easier admission than Chicago.

Thank you unalove for your useful & kind advice! I'll definitely put MUN up front. I LOVE It and I definitely want to continue with it during college. Oddly enough, the prompts look FUN to me. I thought they were weird but...I love them for the fact that I can make it clear who I am without really trying.

I'm going to be starting the app soon...and I'll be looking into what you said. I've thought about a few of them actually. Thank you once again! =]

The hardest thing for me was convincing my dad that Chicago is right for ME. The essay should be a breeze compared to that one. ;D

Anyone else?

Add to it: Applying EA to UChicago. I got nothing to lose and everything to gain. ;D

^ bump.

oh, my recommendation letters should be very good considering they're mostly from teachers I know & my guidance counselor really tries to help me out.
