Not focused in science/math enough?

I'm sorry if this is a redundant post, but I couldnt find anything relating to this subject with the search function =b

well, i am really passionate about pursuing architecture, so my MIT app revolved around an architecture camp and my art.

when i was reading over my app today, i realized that I did not reference any science/math activities at all! For the top 5 extracurrics, i talked aobut chinese culture, art, martial arts, my leadership in a volunteer club, and my leadership in a the japanese honor society... I also do not have any math/science awards...

i mean im in love with chemistry and i have taken all honors/AP math and science classes but I could not fit that into my app at all..

i know there is no definitive answer but i want to see if the general consensus is that MIT will only consider those who convey intense passion for science/math through their app (ie: mu alpha theta, intel, siemens, etc.)

Thanks!

I'm in the same position as you. arh! help! I didn't submit my app yet but i wanna go to MIT for the Media Arts program like visual arts stuff. but for my fifth extracurricular i was debating putting mu alpha theta president or that i teach guitar at the brooklyn academy of music. I decided to go with the latter; honestly that means more to me than mu alpha theta. I dunno what to do though.

why talk about something when it is obvious with your transcript. don't worry....

yea... don't worry... As long as you showed passion for something (in your case architecture), you'll be fine

... I think I remember reading your essay (something about long drives with your parents???, if I remember correctly) - it really did convey your passion
