It seems to me that a lot of people here don't realize that by buying that shirt you are walking around saying "haha, I am better than you and you are beneath me." Well, first of all, you will ultimately work for, or at least have people above you who have gone to those schools. Furthermore, you will most certainly have people from schools like that that you will at least have to work with or will have to work with you. Basically, don't burn bridges before you even have the chance to make them. For example, I go to this event and this guy was talking to me and he was telling me how he went to Penn State. If I had walked in with a not penn state shirt, he would no doubt be offended (think about it, you are wearing a shirt because you have to make sure that everyone knows how prestigious your school is and isn't confusing it for a lesser one) and would have not helped me when I needed it, etc. etc. I dunno, just stupid. You don't go to a sporting event wearing a shirt that says "the other team sucks!" You go wearing your own teams apparrel and colors. That's why I know that I, at least, will only wear Penn shirts.

Agreed. (10char)

i wear shirts against the other team... but thats what you get with red sox fans lol

Yeah, but with schools like Penn State and Upenn..it's a bit obvious that Upenn is better than Penn State in many ways, and they aren't really rivals.

I guess implicit in going to Penn is being smart enough to know when and when not to wear a "Not Penn State" shirt ;)
