Not sure how to go about writing this essay?

Here's the essay prompt for a summer program I'm applying to:

Biographical Essay: Please attach a biographical essay that addresses the following information:
• Brief personal and family history
• Educational background (your academic strengths and weaknesses)
• Specific scientific interests
• Reasons for attending SSI and what you wish to accomplish
• Your future educational goals
• Any extracurricular activities

I'm not quite sure how I'm supposed to write this... Since there are so many things I need to address, are the admissions people more looking for content than the quality of the writing? Because typically for an essay, I'd tell a story that addresses the prompt and do self reflection and such, but this prompt is just all over the place...
What do you guys suggest I do?

You’re right. They are treating the word “essay” quite loosely here, and if you try to make it a single coherent paper with one thesis etc., it will be a mess. Treat it like a laundry list, with separate sections for each item. If the format permits it (like, you upload a PDF or something) I’d leave space between each section and use bold-faced headings.
