I am a senior in high school, and i am applying for colleges but dont know what i want to major in…also, i applied to one university saying i wanted to major in information technology, but im not sure how difficult it would be to change it, and whether or not they assign classes based on your choice in 12th grade… my favorite class ive had throughout high school is international affairs, and it has become a sort of safe space for me. but i suppose if my economics class had not been online (I was in alternative school) that would have been my favorite, as I got 99th percentile in the nation on the exams, and scored highest on macroeconomics and international economics…and in general liked the subject, and was even coming up with my own theories lol, but i guess something was missing since it was all online…I have autism, anxiety, and ADHD, and worry about how i would last in a regular job, which is why im looking for something where social skills deficiency and sensitivity to noise won’t be much of an issue, like accounting, computer science, academia, or IT…all of my electives have been in the social sciences, since I love controversy and debate, and i enjoy making arguments logically…i am fascinated by politics, but poly sci is not an option due to poor job prospects and autism…i also want a degree where i can be influential, such as academia or research, and still get a job relatively easily with just a 4 year degree…i am also considering finance, as my father is a finance professor and is well known i turkey for his economic commentary, and i thought i would find finance interesting…i scored a 32 on the ACT math portion, and a 29 on the ACT overall…i also scored a 1200 out of 1600 on the SAT, and a 590 on the math portion…
also, my social skills aren’t THAT bad, but it’s just that im very introverted…
