So three of my classes are using this system, does anyone know if the note taking is good? Is it worth the $39 or should I just rely on the professor's powerpoints?

Notes from there are one of the following: 1) a script of the lecture or 2) everything on the powerpoints written in a .doc or 3) nearly identical to your own notes.

Not worth $40 in my opinion.

I’m trying it out for the first time this semester. In my opinion, if it’s a technical class (mathematical calculations, proofs, etc.), it’s better to stick with your own notes. If it’s more a more memorization-based class, it might be useful. I got 2 sets of notes already, and they’re pretty much a transcript of everything the professor said.

writing your own notes help you remember better anyways

I’ve gotten them in the past and they’ve always just been an exact transcription of the professor’s lecture. I personally don’t think it’s worth the $40, but I will say they are a nice resource if you have to miss lecture.
