<p>When does one receive notice of AP awards? AP Scholar, etc. How is notification received?</p>

<p>I believe it is in September or October. Of course, you can know what award you are entitled to (aside from state scholar) at the moment you get your scores.</p>
<p>Well, I was wondering if would be better if my ds waited until “official” notification of this award before submitting his Common App anywhere. Just kind of seemed presumptive to list it before it was received???</p>
<p>Thank you for the reply. Does it just show up on your College Board account? Do you receive something snail mail?</p>
<p>I know certificates come in snail mail (unless the CB makes drastic changes) and the awards should appear on the accounts in a couple of months. </p>
<p>I’m also kind of shaky about reporting the AP award (and national merit SF status) that I know I’ll get before receiving official notification. It is a little presumptive, but kind of not at the same time. It is guaranteed that the award will be given and colleges know that anyone with internet access can know what they are getting. It does seem odd to list it beforehand, but I’d go ahead and do it anyways.</p>
<p>College board said early Sept would be when they notify everyone.</p>
