<p>Hey guys! I want to start a discussion with other students who have been accepted to the Notre Dame Summer Scholars program 2014, any track. I am doing Archeology and am nervous and excited!</p>
<p>I'm kind of nervous about the dress code, because (for girls) it says "shorts to the knee" but I mean, isn't everyone just going to be wearing regular shorter-shorts? I'm not about to go out and buy all new shorts.</p>
<p>So any thoughts/concerns/fears for the upcoming two weeks??</p>
<p>I went to summer scholars last year and as far as the dress code goes, I wouldn’t worry too much about their guidelines. No one really wears shorts that long, so I think you’ll be fine if you just bring what you normally wear! If you have any other questions, let me know(: You’ll have so much fun, trust me!</p>
<p>Hi, I leave for summer scholars tomorrow and I’m so anxious but also really excited. Are we allowed to go off campus and if so when and where would you recommend? Also, is there anything unexpected that you can tell me about? Thanks!</p>
<p>You can go off campus during certain times, you’ll have to have your group leader with you! Definitely bring money for the stores on Eddy Street and the bookstore. Nothing really unexpected that I can think of, I guess my advice would be to meet as many people as you can, and don’t be discouraged if you don’t have a solid group of friends right away or if you feel homesick, the first day is always the hardest </p>
<p>Thanks! Also, are the classes demanding in that we’ll have homework and be evaluated? I’m in the law track</p>
<p>I was just in photography and it wasn’t too stressful. I’m not sure about law though. Some of my friends were kind of stressed about the work load but everything ended up fine and they ended up enjoying it, I wouldn’t worry too much! </p>
