Hi, I am a high school sophomore who has been starting to think about college and just would like to have a general idea of where I have to be to get into this program. I have obviously not taken the ACT or SAT yet, but plan to take both in the future. My PLAN and PSAT scores are all in the 99% tile and are near perfect, especially the subjects I would like to study at Summer Scholars. My unweighted GPA is a 3.7 and my weighted is a 4.8. My school no longer has a rank system so I could not tell you my rank but I presume I'm in the top 10%. As a freshman I participated in school soccer and basketball. I was captain of my school soccer team. I also play on an elite club soccer team and I play up a year on a team of all juniors and seniors. I also was an active member of Freshman Class Council. As a sophomore I played basketball and my coach has already informed me I will be on either junior varsity or varsity soccer. I also still am a member of the previous club team I described. I am a member of Sophomore Class Council and helped win the schoolwide homecoming decoration contest that Sophomore Class Council has never won before. I volunteer many hours with Adopt-A-Family and Feed my Starving Children. In addition, I help raise thousands of dollars for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation each year. I have been told I am a good writer so I'm hoping my essay will be superb. I hold a very good relationship with my counselor and English teacher who have both assured me that they will write remarkable recommendation letters. I know this was an earful so thank you in advance and I'm happy to give chances back!

I am also in all accelerated/advanced and AP classes and in math classes two years above my grade level.
