Nov. Sat Essay, predict my score?

My essay topic was:
“Do people need to compare themselves to others to appreciate what they already have?”

Answer:
Yes.
Ex 1: Pip in Great Expectations does not appreciate the love and support of family & friends until he compares it with his new life (one where he is rich and prosperous, but is lonely and triste because he is away from his family,etc.).
Ex 2: (Fail.) The $250,000+ earners that will have increased taxes under Obama’s new tax plan, when comparing themselves to those who are jobless or have no homes, can appreciate the financial stability that they already have.

I’m a pretty good writer.
I got an 11 on the last SAT essay I did. (Prompt: Do you think limiting knowledge is good? I used censorship in China & the initial rejection of Darwin’s theory of evolution)

I wanted to know about what score I’d get on my Nov. essay? I’m kind of worried because my second example is epic fail, compared to the really good examples I’ve used on previous essays.

Oh & if it matters, my essay was almost the full two pages in neat, small writing.

^ I, personally, would give it a single score of 6 (so a 12).

However, the grading is so subjective, as you saw on that last essay with one grader calling it "perfect," and the other one calling it "pretty good." It all depends. I'm hoping for an 11 myself :)

Oh phew, so you don't think my obama example will hurt me?
I couldn't think of one with more literary merit so I used that because I heard about it the day before I took the SAT haha

Well we'll find out in 5 hours :D

I dont think so

look at othelo when iago doesn't get the promotion he gets jealous and plots against everyone ie. othelo and cassio. --everyone dies.

look at gatsby--when he compares himself to others he thinks money will change everything --he'll be respected and stuff...but what happens he gets the money but find he has more problems--he finds a world that is superficial and vein...

another one madame bovary. The more she compares the more disinchanted with her life she became. She thought she was missing out on happiness because she didnt have the finer things in life. This morally corrupted her. And lead to a string of affairs, exccessive spending.....Turns out she was already was a rich lady because she had it all....loving husband, family etc.

ghandi thought internally rewards lead to riches. He feel that material good obscured what he valued most. Therefore, he stripped himself of all material good to find the essence of his desires. he didn't wear the clothes of the common man. He found supreme happiness. His inner character and values guided his actions...

me i use to compare and lived in the rat race and mad good money..but at what cost? Whats more important impressing other people. I have far less money now and am way happier. I realize i have it all even without tons of money. I dont need it. I dont need fancy trips, big houses, trips...I have my family and friends and they like me for who iam...So i dont need to compare myself to appreciate what i got.
