November 2008 SAT Discussion for International Students

mee too! I heard that the section right after essay section will be never dummy
I am not sure though.;;;;I sucked the one in the sec 5

tht was for the writing section wasn’t it

yess I think in order to find out what was xperimental, we should ask ppl who took test in US I think

It was a dummy, I think. I don’t remember seeing it either.

@impsuit did u have the exp. from the writing or some other sections

in the passage about the magician
what did u guys put for the question with the howling kid
is it the extent to which the kid pretended
and the question that asked the purpose of the last paragraph (she was very happy paragraph) i put immediate outcome or benefit. is that rite?
and the very last question in section 10
did u put became interested in, even compassionate about… blah blah.
and in the shakespearean passage, was the wrong assumption something about the extent of education?

One question.
When the governess get all she wanted from the young man
the “she hold the possibilities”…
ask what literary technic was used
“symbolic meaning”? or “personification”

Well, In my opinion, I think it was section 5. the student essay which was about singer and some songs Mr,postman

ccprofile // I don’t remember which exp I had… I think from Writing.

I answered all the questions as you did.

i put repetition

I’m really confused between “misguided” and “idealistic”… It’s misguided because he didn’t use appropriate criteria, and it’s idealistic because there can be no criteria that everyone can reach a consensus on. What’s your opinion?

for the shakespearn passage, did the author of passage 2 take the logic of the first author’s to extreme?
and one of the questions had it doesn’t conclusively rule out shakespeare or something?
and the question with dennis and war, is it the power structure and not forcing his family to be activists?

the question that asked the purpose of the last paragraph (she was very happy paragraph) my answer is immediate outcome or benefit.
and the very last question in section 10
I chose interested in, even compassionate about…
and in the shakespearean passage, about the wrong assumption
I think it is “the test could test who is the author” cause the author of p2 thinks the test is not reliable.

I did literary allusion - I think it gave some hint for readers

it’s misguided. it’s not necessarily idealistic.

In my opinion, yes to all except conclusively.

They had to. Or else they would be sued for cultural bias (not standardized). No joke.

but it said the assumption regarding his use of “necessarily the true author blah blah”
cuz the author of passage 2 pointed out 2 flaws (one about the criteria and one about the logic not making sense) and this question i think asked about the wrong assumption for the 2nd flaw but “the test that could test who the author is” is referring to the first fault.

anyone wht about the modulus question in the math section…was the answer none

yea i got “none”
