November 2008 SAT Subject Test: Math Level 2

|sin x| = 2pi or pi don't remember
a+b=10, ab=20 is 1/2 (Did it with my Ti89 :D)
g(x)=|f(-x)|
Cone = 1500pi
maximum = -2
equilateral = (-1,sqrt(3))
3rd term = 11
f(something) = 11.25
sphere ratio = 1:8
Lin Reg w/ -26.97 or something is A.
function thing for -1000 is 2x+4
Average of numbers from 1 to 225 is 113 (Did with Ti-89)
f(f(x))=x is -x I think.

Ummm that's all I remember...

|sin x| was pi.

also, what about the one one where f(f(x))=x...which x makes it true?

^^^it was f(x)=-x

and the period to the function of Absolute value sinx was only pi

@quickandslowly

g(x)=|f(x)|

wan't it g(x)=|f(-x)|? The graph flipped itself over the y axis.

What was the question for g(x) = f|x|. Was it which one doesn't make it neg?

Speaking of neg, there was a problem with products not neg: that was x^2 - ax -b ( i forget what a and b are)

And for f(f(x)) = x I put in -x i think..

Whoops I meant |f(-x)| sorry.

^ @ hipster23, yea that's what I got too - A

Quickandslowly^^^it flipped everything across the y axis and made everything go on top of the X axis. FOR SURE

and no wat was this -26.97 about????

"nope WANTIVY, the answer to f(x+2) was (0,4), i drew it with my pencil. LOL"

I drew it with my pencil too. I'm positive in the original graph, there was a hump at
(-2,2), so move to the right two, it would be (0, 2). No?

You should move it left because (x+2) is left.

-26.97 was the one about donuts....as the dollar amount,p, increased, d decreased by -26.97

-26.97 was the one about donuts....as the dollar amount,p, increased, d decreased by -26.97

^^^YESSIR!!!

Agh, I skipped the donuts questions (most of the logic questions) because they hurt my head.

i thought the test was pretty simple...At least 780 for me...Crossing my fingers for 800

there was a question about writing the hours cared for something as a function of hours worked blah blah blah...i skipped it cuz it was too much reading..but i'm jus throwing it out there

That baby-sitting one, although stupid, was pretty easy.

You basically just had to subtract the number of hours that "Jamie" spend caring for animals or w/e from babysitting or w/e (might have these backwards).

The logic ones weren't THAT bad today, I've seen far worse in some of the older barron's books.

lol the average formula is just count to the integer (first 3) and divide by 2 and add + .5
First 5 = 5 / 2 + .5 and 6 = 6/2 + .5...

Crap. 9 omitted and 2 definitely wrong. That's below a 750, right? I'm gonna cancel because I can't go 750 or below...I already have a 750 from June..and I need something higher than that!!

can you cancel after you see your score?

^don't think so.
