The curve is there to correct for the difficulty of the exam. The point of the 200-800 scale is so that colleges have a way of comparing all scores. A 720 Math II is the same level of achievement as Math I. Don't worry about the percentiles!

When do the scores come out?

^ Nov 20. 10 char

Oof. I'd love to have them now and get this honour killing stuff over with.

Oh, and I'd like to point out: Math 2 is only "easy" for the best of math students. If the general SAT I population took the Math 2, the mean score would be MUCH lower.

^ agreed
please don't go out and say math 1 is harder, that's just ridiculous

It's harder to do well on and it's less straightforward. But learning math2 concepts and applying them well is harder than doing the same on Math 1.

@ Arachnotron -- It shouldn't matter since you're supposed to take Math 2 when you finish precalculus anyways. It should be easier than SAT I since you cover all the straightforward things up to Precalculus whereas SAT I tests common sense and logical thinking.

What are you talking about saying that learning Math 2 concepts and applying them is harder?

The questions on the MATH 2 are pretty straightforward... unlike the Math I questions which require extra outside the box thinking.

^I agree with this.

Personally, I agree with Arachnotron and think the Math I is much easier. Math II, you'd think it's easy, but there are just so many concepts tested and there's always something random thrown on the test, and the time restraint is also a pretty big factor.

Compared to the practice in the princeton review book, it was waaaaayyyy easier.
I only omitted 1 on the actual test versus about 8 on the PR test

haha yeap, i looked at PR book also,
and the actual test was a cake

Anyone taken a look at Rusen Meylani's book? That is 50 times harder than the actual and 20 times harder than Barrons. I used that to prep.

Rusen Meylani is probably the best book for tests. He has taken the SAT level 1 and 2 Math tests 4 or 5 times and gotten 800 on all of them. He did this so he could get as many test questions as possible. The questions in his book are real questions, but they are the hardest ones.

That'd be illegal if he were using "real" questions, 'cause that's copyright infringement.

I dont think it is word for word, but it has the same format.

^ The RUSH tests are generally harder than usual...so how does that explain?

never heard of that book! haha

The book is actually called

"15 Realistic Tests for the SAT Subject Test Math Level 2"...It's actually called RUSH because of the author.

Just out of curiousity, is this a forum for geniuses? I got a 760 on Math 2 and I thought it was pretty good 'til I heard your guys' scores... jeez! :)
