November 2010 SAT - Critical Reading

Right. I just looked up wistful - definitely not correct. Darnit, that should have been an easy one

Also, we agree that the inference was that she often stayed up late at night working, correct? Seems like an easy one, but I wasn’t sure

seems like the mods took out the “Found the Nov 2005 PDF File” thread.

no you are right. they took it out
why?

Ok tell me all the conflicting answers you guys have. Make a consolidated list of conflicting answers and i will tell you all the answers. I am also going to email CB. This is ********.

btw who were the ones who started the november pdf thread?

and what else did the thread mention?..

I keep hearing that this test was similar to the November 2005 test. If so, what does this mean for the scores? Will the Collegeboard use this test anyway?

^ It means several hundreds of students saw the test before they took it.

Can someone clarify 3 Questions for me?

 1. SC question about ecologists having to be careful with nature. One option was untrammeled.
 2. The retired dancer–was it spanning multiple era, or various dance styles?
 3. The chinese artist and the flower, did “cast” mean tinge?

^I put various dance styles, but I’m not really sure of the answer.
I also put “tinge” for cast, because it made the most sense (as it was talking about shading)…

@violinmaster22: Awesome, those are the two that I put too.

i was unsure about the question for the carribean/creole culture: …to which we subscribe… was it endorse, belong, contribute…i dont remember the rest?

okay does anyone remember the writing paragraph improvement question that was like how do you improve the sentence: the wright brothers were becoming famous blah blah, when fong built and smthing smthing?

Anyone doesn’t have vexing…stymied (math conjecture) and pedestrian (no flair + no imagination)? I don’t remember these two from SC.

For the parenthetical reference to lack of quotations on modern-lack of irony and self-consciousness, what reference was it and what were some of other options?

I seriously don’t remember the hummingbird passage.

For the could/should say, what other options were there?

@Hypsmc You do know that there were different versions of CR and Math, right?

There is “population” in SC? I totally missed that, anyone remember what sentence was it about?

I don’t even remember the Hummingbird reading, what was it about?

In Caribbean one, I disagree with “Caribbean ppl often denied sense of identity”, I specifically remember to not to pick this answer but forgot my reasoning.

was anomalies one of the answers in the sc?

Just wondering - what was the form code for the November 2010 SAT in the US?

For the quantum physics one, does anyone remeber there are choices like “discomfort the quantum physicists” / “discard old ideas”?

YES. I remember getting anomalies for one of them.
