<p>We own a very small business. Just my W and I and 4 part time employees. We ran the NPC's and answered all the questions. We received an answer. But, I've heard that the NPC's are not accurate if you own a business. What gives? If the info we received is inaccurate, how do we know how to plan? Thanks.</p>

<p>NPC’s don’t work well with the self-employed because schools often “add back in” some of the business deductions. Not sure which ones…maybe depreciation, cell phones, car expenses, etc.</p>
<p>I’ve also heard (not sure if this is true), that schools add back in the “employer portion” of FICA.</p>
