NROTC/Cornell/Carnegie

Hey everyone-

First of all, thanks for helping to make this an amazing site full of a valuable treasure chest of information.

My college dreams are currently thus:
Major in Physics
the NROTC scholarship (I live in Buffalo, NY)
Acceptance into one of these NROTC-sponsored colleges, in order of preference:

Cornell University

Carnegie Mellon University

Georgia Institute of Technology

University of Colorado at Boulder

Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT)

Failing to get the NROTC scholarship (which I desperately hope does not happen), I will probably go for SUNY University at Buffalo or some such school where cost will not be such an issue.

My GPA (unweighted) is about a 3.9-4.0, I am involved in many activities, and have so far taken one AP, World History, and gotten a 5. I am currently in AP US History, AP English Lit, and plan on taking several more APs, as many as possible, including Stats, Calc, and AP English Language, and if possible CompSci and Bio.

I am taking the SAT and ACT within the next few months. I received a 31 composite on a practice ACT, and I will respond to this post with my scores ASAP.

Just looking at this information, what do you guys think of my chances? If you need any more information, please let me know!!!
