I am currently receiving an NROTC scholarship. This is my first semester of college and I absolutely hate ROTC. I plan to disenroll at the end of this semester. My question is at what point can I quit the program but not lose the scholarship for this semseter? (If I quit tomorrow, would I still have all my tuition and fees paid for for his semester or would I have to pay that back?)

I don’t think you would have to pay back tution and fees if you quit tomorrow. You can quit after the entire first year without obligation. You obligation to pay back should only kick after classes start next Fall.

Still, I suggest that you wait until the end of the semester. For one thing, if you quit tomorrow it might reflect poorly on your GPA, with an incomplete (or worse). I know the classes are easy enough for you to survive that long. If you don’t like the military stuff or the PT, just do the best you can for the next two months (or less). The only thing that is hard is the PT, even if you don’t like the rest of it.

What do you hate about it so much? I am applying for it because my mom made me but I never really wanted to.
